To me these look a lot more similar to the Dash's. I spoke with one of the Wagon drivers from E30 and he confirmed they do in fact have a shorter wheel base/length than the last batch of Velocity's. I'm liking them!!

I am sure that pretty soon once then are delivered Atlantic or Pierce will post the line drawings and then we will be able to get the wheel base dimentions to compare. I have the line drawings for the last back of Velocities on my computer somewhere.
Nate, I am not sure what my shooting plans are yet for any of my trips. I may take a swing down to richmond and points west on the May/June trip. I keep in mind that you would be interested in tagging along when I go out up in the NOVA area. I will probably be doing quite a bit of shooting.

These 2 new pumpers have 152" (Medium) bodies as compared to the last batch which had 161" (Long) bodies.
To the reserve pool, per information from Jerry Puryear printed in Fire & EMS Virginia's Nov/Dec 10 issue.

I saw one of the old flat roof E\-One Cyclone pumpers leaving on the hook from the North Apparatus Shop last week while I was at the Academy. The county FRD decal and shop numbers had been removed and I didn't get a chance to check the plate as I drove past.
Stopped off at the apparatus shop - north today and caught up with the new Engine 411. While I wasn't a fan of the last batch of Velocity's I REALLY like the newer spec's. Shorter length/wheelbase... more compact. The rear hose bed appears lower also. And no more scary mirrors! Thumbs up Fairfax.
