I've always liked the county Cyclone's - Especially the shorter wheelbase rigs prior to these (pictured)

That's all for now gents!

Sweet Pics Nate. Just FYI the 21 Unit is actually the Frontline Medic. A421 has the clear LED's on it. I know its hard for me to tell them apart at times, too!

Thanks for the correction Ben! There were no unit markings other than "Ambulance". Nice unit!

Dave,

Great pics of E411. That rig looks like it's ready for a fight. Nice work.

Penn Daw's sister was assigned to Annandale as Truck-8 1966 Seagrave KT 250/150 100ft V-579 before moving to Truck-22 to replace the 1966 ALF and placed into reserve status before being assigned to Truck-15 (was the first Truck-21) after the 1963 Maxim was finaly taken out of service for good.

Note that the new station was built onto the front of the old station.

It's funny that Fairfax County has tried so many different innovations through the years and been ridiculed for so many of the failures of some of them, yet out on the West Coast, this is one innovation they use today in L.A. County - Tillered Quints. While the layout and hose configuration is somewhat different, the concept is still the same ! Just Sayin.....

In typical Fairfax fashion, you only staff the ladder trucks with two folks. Loads of fun shifting gears and stepping on the Q while listening to radio trying stay between the lines.

Nate, was this taken "pre" incident with the power lines at FS441, or "post" incident?
