Will anyone be out at FS 403 on the 4th to watch the firemans day competition. If so please take and post as many photos as you can. Would love to be there but have to work my photo job for the newspaper Monday.

Good2Go,

You are correct. Ft. Belvoir received two Arrow XT aerials. However, unless things have changed from initial assignment, the straight truck should be going to 463, not 465. Ft. Belvoir received an Arrow XT engine late last year, and will also be receiving a Arrow XT Rescue next month.

I got the scoop on that the other day, 465 "will" be getting a truck, and until 465's firehouse is replaced, it will run from 463. 463 will no longer provide Truck service, but their current rig will remain in reserve status.

New Foam 426 is going in-service today, Friday July 1, 2011. I don't know the disposition of their old rig (yet). Hope everybody has a happy and safe Independence Day.

Yes, it will carry Purple K. E426's had been working most of the day to finish mounting the equipment, fill the foam tank and water tank. They ran a significant fire this afternoon (with us) in Annandale and did not get to charge Purple K system, that will probably get done on July 2. Rumor is that City of Manassas is interested in old Foam 426 for the Manassas Airfield.

Sr - I couldn't make it to Hummer Rd yesterday but it sounded like a hell of a job. Also sounded like the interior guys took a beating and worked for quite some time before getting pulled out due to deteriorating conditions. Communication was calm from start to finish and the command staff sounded on top of their game.

Strong work.
