Also Ex FDNY cfs possibly. Id figure id ask you guys because if seen dozens of pictures of trucks that are worth saving and i would like to give it a try. Im most interested in finding a B model to work on, but im open to anything thats avalable. I am close to the pittsburgh area, so the closer the better. Well, Brother. we've discussed this a few times. Keep looking. Patience is a virtue.... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
spaamfaa.com (and their links), tedsenginehouse.com, ebay, for starters. And dont forget the major manufacturers and dealers. They never posted a pic of it, but Ferrara had a C model for sale n their website. And don't forget the guy in Wysox, Pa. Though people say he isnt friendly and has no personality, it never hurts to try. And go to google and type in "Mack fire apparatus for sale". I found a lot before Mike Martinelli directed me to my FDNY Mack. Anything else, let me know. Good luck.
Kill 'em all, let Allah sort 'em out. NEVER forget 9/11/01 WTC, Pentagon, Pa. Avenge the acts with NO mercy.
Thanks to ALL the Brothers who were there 9/11/01 and afterwards. Words can never say what appreciation we have for you all.
NOTE TO MODERATORS: Even though there's no photo, this is the best place for this topic, please do not delete or move.
Don't forget the PA Fireman magazine with all its sale ads.I suspect there are a number of CF Macks available within 2 hrs. of Pittsburgh. We were shown 1 up in Grampian,PA., back in June.(a 73,xSt. Mary's,PA.) Good luck!
Dr., that is an awesome magazine. Is there a website and/or suscribing online? Thanks

I have a question: I've agreed to purchase a used truck, but now I need to figure out where to get insurance for it. I have no idea where to begin. Any help would be appreciated....
I have mine through Hagerty. It runs me under $300 a year. www.hagerty.com

JC Taylor in Upper Darby Pa I have several trucks and even when I only had 1 several years ago it was about 60.00-80.00 per year and that is for full coverage.
You could always try Ebay. There is an FDNY piece or two that get auctioned off every now and then. Also try http://www.govdeals.com/eas/index.cfm. They have old fire trucks for sale, but I havent seen any NYC stuff on there yet.
the 2 Hahns listed on that government site were awesome rigs in their day. they were part of an order of four that Glastonbury got back in 1980 or '79. the other two were glidered by E\-One several years ago.
if i only had the $$$$

Try calling your insurance rep for your auto policy. That's how mine is covered [ State Farm Insurance]. Rates are very reasonable and you have the convienence of paying with one check.
