I was able to photograph Fort Belvoir back in 2010. It was great, the Deputy Chief hooked me up. I have been in contact with the department, and PIO to try and get the new stuff, and was shot down. Was told the Security people wanted nothing to do with it. Actually most of this occurred this morning when I was going to make an attempt.

The 4 FXCO Pumpers are still at North apparatus

Supposedly Arlingtons (2) new engines, and (2) new trucks have made their way to AES.

[/quote]Ok I know E102 & 103 are getting new apparatus along with Truck 105 but have they determined what the second new Truck will be(Truck 106 or Ready Reserve?

The equipment that is housed at 106 is currently maintained by the city of Falls Church, which means that any replacement of apparatus would be taken care of by them. I guess they just turned over, or will be turning over the apparatus replacement to the county. The (2) new Pierce ladders will go to 105, and ready reserve. There is a possibility that the current ready reserve E\-One will then go to 106.

Random Question for those in the know.

Fairfax now has 2 Safety Officers on Duty each shift. Are they both running from 435?

Ive noticed Safety 401 covers the 5/6/7 and part of the 4th battalions while Safety 402 covers the 1/2/3 and part of the 4th battalion.

safety 402 I believe is assigned to station 415 but I'm not 100% postive

Safety 401 covers BAT4, BAT5, BAT6 and BAT7 and comes from FS35. Safety 402 covers BAT1, BAT2 and BAT3 and responds from FS15. With CAD's AVL system the closest safety officer will be dispatched on a box alarm or any other call where needed or dispatched (Hazmat, TR response). The SAFO's cover investigating accidents, damage and injuries in his/her assigned battalions in collaboration with the associated battalion management team.

Did anyone here attend the grand re-opening for FS412 and take pictures. Surprised no one has posted any photos of this event yet. Looking for a set of photos from that event. Can you post them here or PM with info on how I can get them on a disc.

Anyone have photos of Rescue 465 (Fort Belvoir)? The Fort Belvoir local site has a nice image

Just wondering if anyone's photographed that rig recently? Nice looking Pierce. Trey's photo of the hazmat unit is awesome.
