DCFD Photos, old or new
I always thought the "Stars and Bars" paint scheme and the Baltimore Burnt Orange paint scheme was unique. Does anyone know why DC and Balitmore changed back to the White over Red?
I would say it is probably cheaper. Most apparatus manufacturers have several shades of red and white as standard colors offered.

WE ( DC ) didn't want to look like the City Flag anymore and wanted a more traditional look.

People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?

ResQGuy, as I remember this trucks were hated when they came in. They were also the begining of the end for the "Stars and Bars" paint job

I didn't even recognize the old DC unit, they sure cleaned it up!

But thats what they will do the will but the old engines for nothing and then try to sell them for a huge profit. There was a guy in Eastern Baltimore County that was trying to sell a old Baltimore County Tower 17 for $95,000 that I know had a bad seal under the turntable.

I don't know about it being in eastern Balto County, but Tower-17 has been sitting behind M&M Auto in Brooklyn Park for over a year now.

S-195 through 197 were the last wagons in the Stars and Bars paint scheme. S-196 was eventually repainted. Reserve Engine 25R is on the scene in this September 24, 2001 photo.
Here is when Engine 3 was using the unit. Shot taken Saturday, July 1, 2000 at 2:07 PM.
