I am back on my third trip of the year to visit my old city. Weather today was beautiful and so it was good rig picture taking time, however, those pesky calls always seem to get in the way right as they are repositioning the rig for me to get the other side.
Today I captures Engine 201's Pierce, driver and officer side on the station apron, Engine 205's Pierce, driver and officer side in front of that station running across the apron, Hazmat 202 in the side parkinglot of Station 202 and Engine 201's Pierce (didn't quite like my last batch of pics of E 201). I am pretty sure I got some good officer side and officer side with the station which is beautiful if you haven't seen it. They were repositioning the rig in front of the bays for me to get the driver side shots when they got a call. I quick snapped some shots so we shall see how those turn out. I haven't switched to a digital camera yet so it will be a week until I am back in MN and then another week to get the film and upload to hopefully complete all AFD's front line apparatus. I may even try to sneak by Station 208 this week and see if I can get them to pull Truck 208 the LTI Tr/Tr out for a shot. If anyone has been able to get a shot of the new Light/Air rig or the new Mass Casualty Rig please post them here to round out the list of apparatus. I have not been able to get either of them yet and probably won't this trip. I want to thank the C shift from Stations 202, 203, 205 and 201 for all the help today with the pictures. AFD is an impressive department.

Because Lime Guy has me thinking that I am not shooting enough lime green apparatus.....I went out to Dulles today and shot Rescue Engine 324 at Station 3 (303). I also snapped a pic or two of Attack 334 in station.
Also got a few more of Engine 201, Ladder 208 and a few target of opportunity shots, partial shade and sun and not posed in the best position though, of Fairfax City Engine 403 and Truck 403. Engine 403 should be getting their new Pierce Dash in and in service by the end of the month. No new knews on a replacement for Ladder 208. Alexandria is going to be getting a new station down in Potomac Yard as has been previously discussed. Supperssion apparatus from 202 will move to the new station. Station 202 will be remodled and the medic rig will stay there. Also on the plans is a new Station and a 9th Engine sometime in the future down on Eisenhower Avenue down west of the Eisnehower Connector to the Beltway. I think the site is the current city impound lot. It sounds like Dulles might be getting one or two new Striker's in the next few years? Have heard nothing about National.
