Poor Mack is such a decrepit state. Price isn't bad. I'm just wondering if it can be saved from the crusher.

I'd say that one is a goner. After retiring it from duty as Snorkel Squad 1, the CFD turned it over to the Department of Public Works. It was used to wash out salt spreader trucks. On one of my trips to Chicago (1990+1995), I happened to see it as I passed by one of the DPW yards. I was unable to get a photo, but it was looking pretty rough then. Most likely the blue paint is the only thing holding the rust together!

I don't think you have to worry about the crusher, not alot of erickson's trucks end up there, the worst is they,



A. Rust away

B. are dismanteled for parts

BTW - What is the station number that is located on the Right Side of the parking lot of the 9-1-1 center??
