If I may ask what does the green light on the rigs mean. Sorry I'm from NYC area the green here mean the command post. Or volly ems.

That wrecker is pretty sweet, I am guessing that would only be on the street if a rig was involved in a wreck and was not driveable? And that is a very unique DDC car for O'Hare. Those squad pictures add perspective to the many apparatus that have been used as squads in the city since the disbanding of the Snorkel Squads.

It's a Chicago thing, one of the chief in the early moter era had a nautical background so he wanted red lights on the port side of the apparatus and green on the starboard.



I am sure someone else can give you a fuller explanation but that's what I have read.

Did you get a peek at the inside at all; I am curious to know if the dish on rig is used to feed live video back to the EOC or is similar to TV rig where they can do a whole lot more

didn't get inside..but I will have them bring it to the fire alarm office when its in full service so we can check it all out..may take a few weeks but we will see the inside!!
