Good stuff and thanks for sharing them.
Where did the '06 Spartan/Summit slip in from? That was low on the radar and doesn't seem to fit the standard CFD mold of rigs (wide chrome trim on the cab doors, wheel simulators, etc.). Who is it quartered with and who staffs it? Thanks in advance.

Would anyone from the Chicago area be able to get ahold of a Truck 42 shirt for me?

Apparently when they bought it, it wasn't even black over red. As to the purpose it serves, I can't say much more than that it is utilitzed for a wide array of special ops. needs. Perhaps someone from Chicago can add more detail to that. It is staffed along with an assortment of other special operations equipment in a warehouse/spec.ops. house on 39th Street. There are three guys that man the station. Evan
Thanks for the information. I knew it didn't like right by CFD standards. Ha ha.

I don't recall seeing this rig before, any idea what they use it for?[/quote] As for the the fork lift, to the best of my understanding, it will be used primarily for hazardous materials incidents. The unit does have different attachments for the front to allow it to perform other needs as well. In regards to 5-7-8, this unit has been with the Chicago Fire Department for just about ever since I can remember. I believe it originally served as 5-11A and then was bumped around for various other uses, including EMS. As of recently, it has been repainted and lettered for Special Operations. I believe that it is nothing more than an equipment truck though. Evan Smith
