DCFD Photos, old or new
According to the Seagrave Website, it shows DCFD is about to take delivery of 11 new Engine and 2 new TDA's. Anyone have any idea when these new rigs will be in service?

Based on the new Seagrave I passed on I-80 on Wednesday, this is to be replaced.

This is the DCFD's new Engine 7. It is a 125th Anniversary Seagrave (the fancy gold Seagrave wording on the front grill designates this). It has a 1250 gpm two-stage Waterous pump and a 500 gallon tank. DCFD's E-7 has the geographical nickname 'Waterside' due to it being first due to the Anacostia waterfront. This engine is also first due to the new baseball stadium being built for the Washington Nationals.

E-7 (it is FD serial # 168 - the S.S. designates that this rig is made of stainless steel)

Great shots. At least a few departments still buy FIRE engines.

I believe the above replys are correct. However, I remember hearing something to the effect that the compny has to purchase the roto-ray with house funds. COrrections welcome.

DCFD Specs include the Mount and wiring for a Roto-Ray to be installed. The cost of the actual Roto-Ray is an expense for the station. DCFD considers this as an optional warning light. The reason is that it could be moved from piece to piece by the shops as needed.
