[b]Tony while this isn't exactly who Engine 23's ALF rig is being reassigned to, it is a list of the most likely Engines that it could be reassigned to.

The four Engines that are most likely to get the "hand me down" rigs from Engine's 23,120,122 and 5 are Engines 89,14,32 and 65 as they are the oldest front line rigs that are currently in regular service on the CFD. All four of them are 1995 Spartan Luvernes and they are the amongst the last 6 in service (not including Engine 119's and 69's rigs.[b]

I've always been a fan of the AF's , it would be nice to see it reassigned. Too bad they have to split the two AF's up.

I don't know what the criteria behind the future reassignment of Eng 23's ALF (like heavy mileage for example) but being that Engine 23 is an Advanced Life Support unit I'm almost certain that is the reason for the reassignment as the rig has gotten alot of wear and tear going on many ALS runs. As you probably know the busier ALS Engines seem to get new rigs assigned more often (such as Engines 116 and 117, etc) so their relatively new rigs become hand me downs for your slower usually non ALS companies such as Engines 89 and 32.

It would be nice to see Engine 23's ALF get reassigned to Engine 14 which is due for a new rig by now and it would still be centrally located near the heart of the city.

Shops spare D525 running as Engine 82 this day. I believe this rig was formerly assigned to Engine 7.
