DCFD Photos, old or new
Final shot of E7 before leaving the scene. I asked the officer to light it up so I could get a shot of all the lights. I'll post my video of the units arriving soon once I finish editing it.

Are the BFC's switching to Chevrolet Suburbans from the Ford Explorers?
Here are the pictures from the fire at the Arena Stage (SW Waterfront) as promised. Sorry for the images, they were taken at night with a non-existant flash.

Randy,

It looks that way, but some of the other DC guys might have more insight, or some reasons for the switch. Go back a few pages and you will see the new Batt 2 buggy.
I tried to get into the station and get a tour / take some pictures but the MPD officer at the door chuckled and said there was no way he would do something like that...

In other news, anyone know how long Engine 1 has been in a reserve unit? What's wrong with the frontline truck?

Engine 1 has been out of service awhile. I stopped at the shops on 08/07/09, and it was there stripped. It was there the two times I was down after that as well.

I actually went on the opposite side of the water, so the pics arent the best. If you go to East Potomac Park and have a better camera you can spot all three of them.

Here is what I believe to be the spare crash rescue truck, that is housed at 13 Engine Truck 10. I got a few photos of it, but didn't see the main one inside the bays of the house. Maybe someone has more info on it.

Cosgrove where have you been?

Foam 1 is the 2001 E\-One Hurricane Glider Kit that was an Amertek. This is Foam 2 on loan from the navy a 1991 Amertek. Both are housed at E-13.

Rick, thanks for the info. Does anyone know where in the firehouse Foam 1 is kept? I didn't see it in any of the 3 bays that I walked by.

When I was their it was parked behind the ambo. With Foam 2 being parked behind the Engine. Its crowded in that firehouse.
