When you say "refused", do you mean refused because they were busy or just refused in an inhospitable way?
It is a rare event, but it is known to happen that you hit an officer or even an entire station that is just not helpful. Now let me point out that in the thousands of stations I have visited this has happened a handful of times, but there are a few in FFX County and dare I say one in Alexandria, well at least there used to be.

At station 37 they were very willing to help us get some shots, but the sun wasn't so cooperative
I have never let a lack of sun or someone posting a rig previously stop me from posting a picture. Thanks for the additions, I like to keep this thread lively. Did you shoot into Alexandria at all?

Dan EMS407 is assigned to Station 441. To clarify the "Refuse" part. The one station was Refusing with no explanation as to why. The other station was what appeared to be an officer issue.
Ive been to Fairfax MANY times in the last 5 years. Theirs only 3 or 4 Stations that I have had trouble with(Two of which we visited on this trip). So to solve it I remembered what shift I had a problem with and I now try to avoid that shift at the particular station when they work. By and large we had a great day. The guys at 432, 411, 414, and BC406 B-Shift were some of the best Ive met in a while.

If you have issues with lackluster attitudes from the officer in charge of a unit or station to have a rig moved for you, PM me with all the details. I have the ear of the Fairfax County FRD B-shift command staff. I am a station commander and would never tolerate such inhospitable behavior by my junior officers or anybody under my command. In fact, I have invited visiting buffs to stay for dinner and the like. I regret to hear that some people who call themselves officers in the Fire and Rescue Department acted in such a rude manner towards any of you.
Dave, we didn't make it to Alexandria, ran out of time and daylight.

409, the BC here (Mullins?) was awesome, very hospitable, welcoming, and friendly
Yes BC406-B is Bonzo Mullins and he's a great guy, we were sorry to see him leave the 2nd.
Oh and an update on the rigs at Dunn Loring, V-135 (Pierce #21883), our Velocity PUC went in service last Wednesday as E413 and the 2003 ALF Eagle 148 became E413B. The County owned 1994 E\-One Protector, V7308, was returned to the county shops with many thanks for its almost 2 years of use. So we're done with that project - now time to think about a new medic......
Chief,
Its possible I might be in fairfax tuesday. Is The new eng available to be moved for photos? Also can that massive rehab thing be moved yet?

Tower 424. These guys were very reluctant to help us but they had orders from BC Mullins.
After Tim and I parted ways I ran up to apparatus shops north to see if I could find a new rescue. They were inside and no one there, but there were some reserve rigs outside so I shot them. It was almost dusk, but this is what I got
