If I remember correctly from my past visits to Chi Town, all of the CFD equipment, including ambulances and chief's buggies, have the EQ2B. I'm assumming that the new apparatus still has the EQ2B, but just doesn't have the regular Q front piece on the bumper.

I thought that some of the airport rigs had a Q because they were bought with federal and not city money? I remember hearing that somewhere...

The information as to the amount of the 1968 Mack Pirsch rearmount rigs is in'correct, their were 3 of them built and not 4. They were originally assigned to Trucks 22,15 and 16 before being reassigned as "hand me down rigs within 3 to 4 years after that, however Truck 16's rig was totaled in 1977 but it's Aerial Ladder was salvaged and remounted on a Ford C model chassis a year later and reassigned to Truck 24.
