Where did the '06 Spartan/Summit slip in from? That was low on the radar and doesn't seem to fit the standard CFD mold of rigs (wide chrome trim on the cab doors, wheel simulators, etc.). Who is it quartered with and who staffs it?
Thanks in advance.[/quote]
Larry,
5-2-5 was purchased as a demonstrator and that is why it doesn't fit the mold of typical Chicago apparatus. Apparently when they bought it, it wasn't even black over red. As to the purpose it serves, I can't say much more than that it is utilitzed for a wide array of special ops. needs. Perhaps someone from Chicago can add more detail to that. It is staffed along with an assortment of other special operations equipment in a warehouse/spec.ops. house on 39th Street. There are three guys that man the station.
