I did some research on the Fairfax Imperial wagons from some early versions of area rosters from The Wagon Pipe Newsletter and checking the dates on some of my slides. I believe that the first assignments of these units were Wagon 11 (s/n 782), Engine 11 (s/n 311), Engine 22 (s/n 781), Engine 26 (s/n 304) and Engine 27 (s/n 307). After delivery of the 1975 Seagrave wagons shop number 307 was assigned to the Clifton station.
Unfortunately at that time I was not recording serial numbers but I can pass along that the five Imperial wagons had serial numbers 1-584-A thru 1-584-E. By the time that the units were re-bodied by E\-One the Imperial numbers had been removed from the cab and E\-One serial numbers were assigned. Mike is correct that most of these units were well traveled around Fairfax and I think were the last wagons delivered with manual transmissions.
