In 2001 the Ottawa Fire Dept. was amalgamated with 8 surrounding suburban and rural fire departments to become today's Ottawa Fire Services.  Gloucester, to the east of Ottawa, had an eclectic collection of apparatus.

1979 Thibault-Ford 625/1500.  This was a very standard Thibault tanker design except for the LDH hose reel at the rear.

First time I ever rode a rig to a call was this truck as a high school co-op student in 1983.  Later started as a career member of the Gloucester Fire Department just after it was sold to Cobden, Ontario.

Could there be an issue with the doors (access to the dump chute) freezing up in the winter?

Is there a plan for this?

Thanks!
