unknowncomic,

You are getting your yellow Imperial engines mixed up. See below.

Bruce

Oakmont (Delaware County, PA)

1973 PemFab/Imperial, Cincinnati canopy cab, 1250/500. This was the first engine ordered with a canopy cab and the new paint scheme of all yellow, housed 5/19/73, but not placed into service till 10/15/73. It had a Detroit 6-71N diesel motor, and a 5-speed manual transmission. It was sold to the Campbelltown Fire Company (Lebanon County, PA) in 1988 who repainted it RW. Campbelltown sent it out in late 1998 to Penna. Fire Apparatus of Gettysburg for a total refurb which included the following: fabricate a rear enclosure on cab, new cab shell, and total repaint.

Parkland (Bucks County, PA)

1972 PemFab/Imperial, Cincinnati canopy cab, 1250/500, housed 6-17-72 in conjunction with county convention and parade, in 1995 booster tank replaced with poly tank, Detroit diesel 671, Allison 740 auto trans, 6 KW Onan diesel generator, extended bumper with front suction intake, Waterous pump, pre-connected deluge, dual booster reels on top, removed from service mid-1996, in 1997 offered for sale-asked $25,000-in PAFM 2-98 pg 188 reduced to $10,000 negotiable, in 3-98 sold to West End FC No.3-Sheridan (Schuylkill Co.),PA-yellow color retained. As of 08/2010, it was in pieces next to their station. It looks as though they are using it for vehicle rescue training. The cab roof, for example, was cut off, and lying next to what is left of the rest of the truck.
