The medic units are assigned per station. Ex, 1 1-1 2 2-1 3 3-1 4 4-1 and 5. However the placards can be switched around so the units are interchangeable. They all have a shop number tho, for example 7501 (i think thats the set up) to 7509. Then the EMS shift supervisor has a 08? or 09 chevy suburban. and theres a secondary one for the summer when it gets busy.

The paramedic engines are usualy 4 and 16, they are interchanged. When 16 would blow up they would bring 4 in and run it as staffed engine. There had been talks about moving a truck and engine to the north to meet staffing needs when traffic is horrific. But any truck can be at any station at any time, to easily sum it up.

What is Engine 9? If that was the Seagrave, it was sold. The Spartan/Boardman is also gone.

E9 is the Ford Mini Pumper

E12 was the Spartan that burned up.

A quick correction: it was a 1991 Spartan/Alexis engine that was 4-sale. Has the 89 IH/Alexis tanker been sold yet?

AFAIK these were the only Alexis rigs in Maryland...

Engine 12 did not burn up. It was sold. I've seen it in numerous adds, just can't remember the dealer selling it.

res18cue, Thanks for the info. I wasn't informed that the two engines were ordered. I was told a Tower to replace the Snorkel, and a Tanker.

Dr. Stinebaugh, Both tankers are out at station 5.

I was not aware that Ocean City had ordered two additional engines from KME. I work for the local Rosenbauer dealer and we were just down there last week for aerial demos. I know a lot of folks down that way and nobody has said anything about it, just that they're buying a new aerial next year.
