A little bit more news coming out of Chambersburg is that Co.1 is replacing the chassis on ambulance 1-9 and 1-7 with the current boxes being remounted by PL Custom. The new chassis for the ambulance with be a 2013 Dodge 4500. They will also be adding a third ambulance on a Freightliner chassis with I am guessing will be a PL Custom box. The dodges will be in service within the next couple of months while the freightliner will be in by the end of the year.

Also for Company 1, A new Asst. Chief Vehicle (To replace the 2001 Dodge Durango) was to be ordered this year per the Chambersburg Boro Budget. I'm Not sure if it was ever ordered though.

Looks like Sta. 4 got a new Chief Vehicle, there was a unmarked all white new 2013 ford explorer sitting in front of the firehouse earlier today, also it had hidden lights.

Truck 42 will be coming home in 2 weeks then will be sent out for tool mounting followed by drivers training. So it should be in service in the spring sometime.

New Truck 42 arrived yesterday to their station. In Service time is approx. 1 month or so according to a comment on their facebook page.

Also the Boro FD - Co. 1 received their new remounted Dodge Ambulance 1-7 last Friday (2/14/14). Not in service yet but it lettered, probably should be in service soon.
