This is River Plaza Fire Company in Middletown Township, not Red Bank.

I believe it's a Thibault body.

That was my thought originally, but Pierreville used dual paddle handles and the rear beacon holders are classic Pierreville. For that era Thibault always used the metal name plates across the front. Corrections welcome.

According to information contained in the Iconografix book on Imperial Fire Apparatus, it had a Thibault body.

Red Bank and Middletown border each other, I believe, but that is about it. Middletown has eleven fire companies. Red Bank has their own FD separate from Middletown. Love the picture.

Question on this long dormant thread. I know Imperial as a chassis builder, but from the looks of some of the photos posted, they also built apparatus bodies.

Is this in fact the same company? Does anyone know the time period in which they built bodies?

Imperial Fire Apparatus was a division of Pemberton Fabricators from 1969-1976 and located in Pemberton, NJ. They built complete fire apparatus, on both custom and commercial chassis. Around 1973, they also began supplying custom chassis to other builders, which became their mainstay operation after exiting the complete apparatus business in 1976. From then on, they were known as PemFab and produced custom fire apparatus chassis until they closed in 1997. The name Imperial was used on their premier custom chassis lines.
