Members of the Salunga Fire Department in Pennsylvania built this sedan cab 500 GPM pumper in 1949-1952, using a 1949 Dodge chassis and an extra cab. After years of service, it was sold as the first apparatus for Haneyville, PA. It later returned to Salunga, where I photographed it and is currently owned by a past member. The Salunga FD is no more, as it merged with Landisville to become the Hempfield FD in East Hempfield Township.

Jon and I stumbled onto this one several years back. The rig was constructed by members of the Watkins FD near Henderson, NC on a circa 1960 International BC chassis. It features a 500 GPM Darley pump and carries 630 gallons of water.

It was later sold to a private collector in the area. This photo was taken in Pittsburgh at a muster while owned by the collector. While in the Departments possession, the engine never had a muffler. Just straight pipes. Very loud.

The rigs that you all have posted here have been very interesting and I appreciate all your efforts. I am still digging through my albums and have found a couple more.
Columbus, OH purchased this Sutphen 1000/1000 sedan cab pumper in 1975. It was one of three in that order.
The downside to SPAAMFAA musters is that you usually get photos like this one. Too much crap you don't want in the photo! This 1973 Pirsch sedan cab 100' Senior Aerial served Rochester, NY. It was collector owned when I took the photo in the late 1980's.
