Station 62 is a volunteer station located in the village of Fitzroy Harbour.  It is home to 3 apparatus.

Pump 62 was originally a demo 1999 American Lafrance Eagle/RD Murray 1250/500 originally purchased by Cumberland Township.  The cab was destroyed in a collision with a school bus after amalgamation when it was running as Pump 53.  The body was deemed salvageable, and in 2002, Carl Thibault placed the body on a Spartan Advantage.  This is the only Spartan Advantage on the Ottawa fleet, and this may be the only RD Murray in Canada.

Forty years ago I worked for the Dominion Fire Commissioner (the Federal Government Fire Marshal) in Ottawa.  I spent a lot of time around the Ottawa Fire Dept. so here are some of the apparatus from the summer of 1975.  Back then the OFD served only the City of Ottawa and the other eight fire departments that were amalgamated in 2001 were on their own.
