Denver Metro Fire Apparatus

Great looking tenders. Thanks for those pics.
At noon Sunday Denver Fire Department officially took over fire protection for the City of Englewood. One Englewood Station was closed and two others are now DFD's.
Engine Co. 37 is a 2002 Pierce Enforcer (former E3) now assigned to the old EFD Station 21 Truck Co. 38 is one of a few 1995 Spartan / Smeal 75' that served at various houses and was most recently a reserve. It is now assigned to the old EFD Station 23.
Both Englewood Stations are falling under District 7.
Englewood's next door neighbor, Sheridan Fire Rescue was taken over by Denver in 2010, their former Engine 52 is now Denver Engine 36 and the only in service rig painted red.
Englewood's 2008 Crimsons are in storage until their leases are paid off. For the last week they've been running their ALF fleet. Here are E21 and E22 in their final moments of being in service. They will likely be sold.
And finally, Squrt 23 just after going out of service.
What a sad sad story.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing. [/quote]
Hey Eric, have you take. Pictures of Denver Engine 3 and truck 4
Quote:Hey Eric, have you take. Pictures of Denver Engine 3 and truck 4I personally have not but my good friend Dave McGrail who is the C Shift Assistant Chief assigned to District 2 sent me photos of them, used with permission.
4's crew isn't real thrilled with theirs. They miss the tower bucket and the speed of their old Lance.
Will Denver integrate Englewood's medics, HazMat and Squad into the fleet or will they be auctioned off?
People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?

Will Truck 38 operate as a quint if it arrives first-due at a working fire or will they wait for an engine to arrive before deploying attack lines? Thanks in advance.
Thank you Eric. Looks great
what happened to englewood staff?
