Up next is one of the staff vehicles that was at Station 31. This one was marked as A-1. I am thinking Assistant Chief. I know that the CCFD Fire Chief was at the open house today and I was able to talk with him for a minute. He was showing his son around the station.

Okay next up is a Engine was at one time Engine 24 and Engine 28. I still has the markings on the rear covered up for Engine 28.
The sad thing is that this engine was once a CBRNE engine which was part of the HazMat Units. A few years ago there was a scandal within the Clark County Fire Department about overtime and sick leave. In an effort to cut down on expenses County Commissioners closed the heavy rescue and HazMat units. This included taking away the CBRNE ratings of some of the engine companies. The largest department in the State of Nevada now depends on the City of Las Vegas to provide HazMat and Heavy Rescue in the County. To me it does not make any sense especially when Henderson and North Las Vegas have their own units.

If you look you can see where they just painted over the unit numbers on the rear of the rig.
