Former FF/EMT
While a fire protection engineering student at the U of M and a live-in firefighter at College Park VFD in 1975 and 1976 I spent some spare time buffing in the District. Here are a few rigs from a Saturday in 1975. I will leave it to the DCFD experts to correct or complete what I had in my notes. I have not gone through the 176 pages of this topic so hopefully the shots will not be duplicates.

Thanks Ian. Good times riding the back step of 12 Truck
CPVFD just ordered their own new 105 ft. truck from Pierce. The last CPVFD truck was "The Goose", the 1971 Pirsch on which we ran lots of calls.
Would there be any folks from DC who have visited recently ? Have not seen any photos of any of the Pierce Arrow XT pumpers since the first batch several years ago .

Regarding the 2011 Pierce engines, how many were ordered and what were their original assignments? The Pierce Flikr page shows these engines were lettered for 3,12 and 21
People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?

Battalion 5 on Watch (1990's image)
Battalion 5 was organized in 1922 at Engine 28's house, 3522 Connecticut Ave NW. Engine 28 was here in 1916, and Truck 14 in 1926.

So are there any members here that still exist who have knowledge of News for the DCFD? Any apparatus on order, Progress photos on New Station 1 and 22 and anything else?
