Looks like a good time! Do they have the show every year on the same weekend?
Terry
Well, they didn't have it last year.....

Yes, it is usually an annual event, held in June.  Not sure if it is always the same weekend, but their website puts up the date and advance ticket sales a month or two in advance.  It officially begins at 9AM, but several of us are out there at the entrance, shooting apparatus as they arrive, as early as 7:30.  You are welcome to join us.
Thanks Dave! I'll keep it in mind as I love North Carolina and most departments are so friendly!

X-Orange, CT.  Don't have specs on it but it had a large water tank, especially for its era, believe 1,000.

The City of Fairburn, GA is undergoing a major upgrade to its apparatus fleet.  A new engine has been purchased and an older pumper has been refurbished.  Another pumper and their aerial are currently being refurbished.  In the meantime, they have leased a pumper from their local Pierce dealer, Ten-8.  This engine was original to Loudon County, VA and served the now-closed Neersville FD.  Fairburn has lettered it in their livery due to the length of time they plan to keep it.  They currently operate from two stations, with a third in the works.

Continuing with my project to photograph apparatus from every county in Georgia, I ventured out to Worth, Mitchell and Grady Counties one Saturday.
