Cool, I like it. Looks good. It has the old DC patch on the door. Sweet.

That is all good but I was talking about the first apparatus in service with the new door patch.... E-4
I'm going to definetely have to make a trip down to DC for that. That is a nice looking ride.

So THAT'S what a user friender Squad looks like! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> I bet you don't have to climb up on the roof to get cribbing on that one, do you Cos?
A large part of my collection was purchased from a GOOD man, John Floyd. I give him FULL credit on his work, although I may miss something. Thanks John. Also Scott Mattson, Warren Jenkins, Michael Schwartzberg, and Mike Sanders. Thanks Guys.

Awesome rig. What is the black trim between the red/white line and the white/roof line? The retro DCFD old school seal on the door ROCKS. Wish you guys would also reconsider using the older style block lettering too.

The trim that appears black is actually a poly material rub rail that is installed at three levels on the body. The lowest one is below the compartments, the middle one is where the old style drip rail would be and the upper one is at the bottom edge of the roof radius.
The triple rail provides more protection to the body when driving in tight situations.

Any information about when the new RS2 will be delivered & placed in service, or has that already happened?

I'm looking at the roof line of the box on the rescue just above the "front window". That roof line looks very similar to what was on the front roof line of many of the Saulsbury rescue boxes I have seen over the years. Now, I'm just speculating here but, when E-1 took over Saulsbury didn't Seagrave go into the heavy rescue/hazmat body business? And considering the roof line design....did someone from Saulsbury want to stay in the northern climes and not move to Florida? Sounds like a question for Tom Shand...anybody else catch this or I am just hitting the bourbon too hard tonight.
AWSOME!!!!!! Are all 3 being replaced or just R2?

The roof line and support system for the new DCFD Rescue Squad was designed similar to the one used at Saulsbury. Your eyes have not deceived you!

Just happened to see Engine 4 the other night – didn’t know they HAD a new door seal. I understand Engine 12 has the first one (for a wagon). Photo February 28, 2009.
