Train Photography
I apparently missed this photo a long time back. UP stands for Union Pacific www.uprr.com. The UP bought them and IF they are still in service somewhere across the vast UP system, they could still be in service. But at the moment, I can't be 100% sure.

Although looking like a desert shot, this was taken in the West Springfield MA yard. A line up of former Guilford Transportation engines, I have no idea what the "UP" is for.[/quote]

I caught a couple trains the other day heading through Utica NY on the CSX (formerly New York Central) mainline.

First, a former Conrail engine leading a line of intermodels.

Last year, I mentioned driving cross country of a whole bunch of trolley cars off I-80 in PA, at Exit 81.

This time I stopped and looked. They are old SEPTA trolley cars sitting in the lot.

Have the pic, too big to upload. Any help in posting it, let me know.

Stay safe, Brothers.
Kill 'em all, let Allah sort 'em out. NEVER forget 9/11/01 WTC, Pentagon, Pa. Avenge the acts with NO mercy.

Thanks to ALL the Brothers who were there 9/11/01 and afterwards. Words can never say what appreciation we have for you all.

Thank God! A passenger train to break up the monotony. (probably running late.)

Just adjacent to the location of last weekend Eustis FL Fire Muster were the track of the Inland Lakes Rwy. They operate run a tourist train out of Eustis. This GP-9 was sitting at the station. It is a 1954 unit originally built for the Union Pacific.

Sorta random, but still related to trains, anyone model RR in addition to train photography?

Yep just HO & HOn3. In HO its Santa Fe and anything from Central ILL which includes: Wabash, ILL Terminal, N&W, NS and some ICG. In HOn3 is D&RGW.

A better shot from a closed 1 lane bridge prior to the train. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' /> You can see Amtrack's auto train station on the upper left.

Found this locomotive and caboose on display in Mulberry FL while on the Florida Winter Thaw - 2008 trip last week. I couldn't find any ID or builders plates on the loco, but believe that it probably worked in one of the phospate mining plants in the area. FLJackphoto.
