Has anyone heard anything on or where FS210 will go? I've heard rumors floating around that construction will start after FS209. Still a couple years out just curious.
Do you know where the impound lot and police gun range is on Eisenhower Avenue just east of the trash burning facility....that is the site. There is planning money and I should be able to tell you more on when it will be build when the budget is released in a few weeks. I will post more once it is released.

The bad news due to snow continues.....
Alexandria Station 206 was closed last night due to structural concerns based on this weekends snow fall. Additional snow on the way for today, how many other stations could be in jeapardy???? Here is the report from Dave Statter on Statter911. http://statter911.com/tag/station-206/ As Dave points out with Station 410 and 206 out of commission this leaves a lot of territory with longer response times. The units at 206 h ave been dispersed to other Alexandria stations.

Alexandria has approved their FY11 budget (July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011).
Included in the FY11 budget is funding for two new medic rigs and 5 new medic positions. The two new ambulances and the 5 new medic positions will staff a peak-demand medic unit that will operate according to the budget documents from 9am - 10pm daily. The Hazmat Unit has not been renumbered it is still 202 and no news on when and if it will be renumbered. As for the boxes in that area they will remain 52XX boxes they will not be renumbered 59xx.

Because they are right on the border with Alexandria and run so many runs in Alexandria, and I feel like it, second due at my first house in Alexandria.....Arlington County Engine 107 2009 Arrow XT. I did not capture the job number but I have it at home, I will try to remember to post it when I get back to MN.
I know to some this has been an open question but Engines 201 and 202 have 1000 GPM pumps not 1250 GPM. I know a few people have thought they had 1250 GPM pumps but nope 1000. Engine 202 has a 750 gal water tank and I believe Engine 201 only has 500 gal, I will have to confirm that.

Alexandria has a class of Paramedics coming out right after the first of the year. Once they are out of the academy the peak hour medic unit will be placed in service. I think the target date is 1/15/11.

I need to find some time to post those.......as well as all the shots I have of MWAA's Station 301, and the FFX rigs from the last few trips. I have fallen a bit behind. It is quite the impressive tiller, I will agree.

I got to drive her from Firehouse Expo back to Manassas service center and definately got me hooked on the the Arrow XT chassis. It was a very nice ride.

Is that Pierce TDA in service? I'm in Alexandria this week at the NCMEC for training and have seen the Duplex/LTI driving around twice.
Anybody out there with pics of Alexandria's 700, 800, 900 series American LaFrance rigs, I used to drive Engine 5's "second-piece" way back in the late 60's, would love to see them again.
Hey, anybody got T208's normal staffing? See them with 3 it seems most of the time, just wondering.
