ETTRICK, Wis. (WKBT) – Investigators in Ettrick are working to determine what caused the Thursday night fire that severely damaged a commercial building.
At 20:24 on Wednesday, October 20 WFPS was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire. crews arrived on scene and found flames in the eaves of the second story with extension into the building. Rescue 5 knocked down the exterior visible flames quickly then proceeded inside. Crews found fire in the walls and began opening them up. Two ground ladders were put up to access the evaes and attack the fire from the exterior as well. Ladder 11 was repositioned and set up to fly the stick but it wasn't needed in the end. Loss stop was declared at the 90-minute incident mark and crews overhauled. Crews were on scene for over 2:30 before returning.

at 13:27 on Monday, September 27th WFPS responded to a reported low-rise apartment fire. on arrival crews from station 4 discovered a working kitchen fire in an apartment on the second floor and transmitted a 10-34. Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire and were able to get a quick knock on it and canceled all incoming units. Crews vented the building, conducted overhaul, and packed up. the call was cleared in about an hour and a half.
