  Mack Type 45
Posted by: dskelly62 - 10-03-2021, 10:08 AM - Forum: Member's Rigs/restoration Projects - No Replies

Last fall I purchased a 1946 Mack Type 45 at an auction.

It originally was purchased for the Eminence Kentucky Fire Department.

It was sold in the 1970s to a collector in College Park MD, then to a collector in Hagerstown MD.

From there it went to Charlestown WV, then to Fredrick, MD.

It now resides in Pittsburgh, PA

I have been trying to find past pictures of this particular unit and have not had much luck. Could anyone help?

I any also looking for any Mack Type 45 pictures, front, rear sides, etc. I am restoring it and looking to have it period accurate

Below is a picture at the auction where I bought it.

Antique Mack.  No department marking but I get a Baltimore vibe off of it.

To Firepics.net.  We went live on 9/18/04, transitioning the group from a mailing list to an online presence that at one time was the largest online collection of fire service related photos.  In that time, we have had thousands of topics and posts.  While in this era of social media the site isn't what it used to be, it remains a huge online resource.  Here's to many more!  BananaMan

Hi,
I am a newbie here and came across Bill Hattersley almost 25 years ago.  I'm wondering if he is still around and contact info if you have it.  I searched this forum and the only mention is credits of his pictures.
Respectfully,
