I have recently received a request from a member to delete all of their content on the site. The member has not been around very long, but they did start several threads and if you have replied to any thread they started, your posts in that thread, as well as any likes received, will be deleted.
I am only posting this in an effort to avoid the "Why did you delete my post?" messages that I get flooded with whenever this happens.
While working last evening, I was at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave and Geneva Ave when I heard the police give out a call for "someone trying to light a car on fire in the parking lot of 385 Geneva Ave." Almost at the same time, Boston Fire hit the alert tone with "In District 7, striking box 3332, Bowdoin and Oakley Streets, for a building at 385 Geneva Ave." I took a right and arrrived behind the first due companies.
Obviously working, I had duties to perform, but did get this one shot. The car fire had extended to all floors of the building and the cockloft. The companies did a great job limiting the majority of damage to the B side of the building.
At 11 am a Residental Structure fire was toned out. Crews arrived on scene and discovered smoke coming from the front of a 2 story residential building and a working kitchen fire. 2 lines were put into service from rescue 5 and crews got a quick knock on the blaze. crews conducted overhaul and vented the building with fans before clearing.
Units on scene: Rescue 5, Engine 11, Rescue 11, Ladder 11, District Chief 10, Engine 5, Engine 4(RIT), Safety 5, Platoon Chief 1, Fire investigator 2, Ambulance 36, Medical Supervisor 75.
