  Denver 2nd Alarm, 3-29-15
Posted by: Guest - 03-29-2015, 11:57 PM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (14)

Sunday afternoon Denver Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 9051 East Oxford.  First due E13 laid in and found heavy fire from the second floor of an end-of-the-row, two story town home.  A well involved second floor fire had already gotten into the attic and an aggressive fire attack was used to limit horizontal extension down the row.  Multiple special calls were made by command, equalling just over 2 Alarms worth of companies.

First shot walking up...

Does anyone know if fire apparatus photographers Glenn Leggett or Joel Woods are still alive? I'd love to get in touch with either one of these photographers and see if they'd be willing to sell any photos of Winston-Salem Fire Dept (the dept I work for). If you know how to get in touch with either of these photographers please let me know. Thank

In 2016, Chevrolet will be re-introducing the Suburban 2500.  This information has been circulating on the internet, confirmed by spy photos and VIN information.  The only catch is the heavy duty Suburban sales will be directed toward the fleet market.

For further info, Google 2016 Suburban 2500 HD.

  West End Engine Housing

Yesterday I packed up the family and headed to Shippensburg for the West End Fire & Rescue Company No.3's  "twin" engine housing. The officers and members of West End started the afternoon event with a presentation ceremony followed by the christening of the engines. Members and firefighters from neighboring departments ended the ceremony by pushing the engines into the station.

Motorola Minitor 6 software install help
Posted by: Guest - 03-16-2015, 05:48 PM - Forum: Fire Service Related - No Replies

I am in need of some help.....I am having issues installing the software from Motorola's web site for the minitor 6. I was able to install the software for the minitor 5 on my laptop, as well as install the minitor 6 software on my wife's laptop, which both run off the same OS.....She has a Sony Vio and Mine is an HP....But again, we both have Windows 7 home addition, 64 bit, service pack 1, but for some reason,it's my laptop that is a fluke...I have all my updates up to date...I am sure it is just something that s very simple...I am thinking this because I spent over an hour on the phone with Motorola's Tech Support directly and we couldn't get it figured out.....and have been trying this and that since last night, so that is probably my clue that it is something very, VERY simple, and I am just not coming up with the right solution.....I mean, if it can work on one laptop with the same exact OS and not work on another.....I guess crappy luck, lol....anyways, my antivirus is outdated, so that isn't an issue. I am running as an admin, so that isn't the issue....I have right-clicked on the extracted icon, went to the properties and tried making it compatible with every OS listed in the dropdown, and still nothing.....Basically, I am able to download and extract all the files, and when I double click to install, it brings up the install wizard and the green status bar will set there for about 20 seconds, thinking, and then when the green bar starts to install, it will get about a tenth of the way and then the feature transfer error window pops up ....here is what the error window says....

Feature transfer error

Feature-Minitor VI PPS

Component- Files

File- <PROGRAMFILES64>\

Error- the file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

I just don't know what to do now....I just can't see why it can work fine on the wife's laptop but not mine....so if anyone out there has any ideas, please feel free to PM me here or email me directly at firemedic78@msn.com. I posted this on the radioreference web site too....But if anyone out there can lend some advise, I am getting VERY frustrated, so any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

  2 Houses, 2nd Alarm, Portland 3-14-15
Posted by: Guest - 03-15-2015, 01:50 PM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (6)

At 03:35 a box was transmitted for a house fire at 16 Tillamook St. Response was E13, 1, 24, 3, T13, T1, C4 & C2. Before E13 arrived there was a report of someone hearing shots before the fire and the car in front of the house was thought to be stolen, thus this fire was treated as a crime scene.

When E13 arrived, they reported a house fully involved. When they reported it had extended into the attic next door, the Battalion Chief, Sarah Boone, ordered a 2nd alarm at 03:42.

Responding on the 2nd was E14, 21, 6, 4, T3, C1 and C405, Safety Chief Bancroft.
