  Vegetation Fire, Littleton CO 4-24-15

This afternoon Littleton Engine 16 and South Metro Brush 40 responded to a small vegetation fire spread over a few hundred yards along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks near Chatfield State Park.  It wasn't much of an incident but the combination of fire buffing and rail fanning was kinda cool...

  Second Alarm Dwelling Fire-Baltimore April 15, 2015
Posted by: BCFDphotoman - 04-22-2015, 01:16 PM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (16)

On April 15th around 3:00PM Box Alarm 47-80 was dispatched for a dwelling fire in the Morrell Park section of southwest Baltimore. Squad 47 reported heavy smoke when they got on the street and headed in that direction. They arrived first with a 2 1/2 story frame duplex with heavy smoke showing everywhere and heavy fire from the Bravo side.  One of the firefighters on duty for the day on Squad 47 lives in the house that was the Bravo exposure and the siding was starting to melt from the extreme heat.  When Acting Battalion Chief 3 arrived on the scene he made it a working fire followed one minute later with the second alarm. There was a partial collapse and a bulging wall on the Delta side and exterior operations were set up pretty much from the start.

These are the conditions as I arrived pretty much with the second alarm units:

  Rope Rescue in Portland 4-20-15
Posted by: Guest - 04-21-2015, 09:21 AM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (3)

About 17:45, Truck 7 was returning from covering Gresham Sta. 71. As they were turning into the rear driveway of Sta. 7

they were dispatched to assist Eng. 29 on 122nd Ave. at Johnson Creek. They continued through the station and out the front door,

pausing for me to get in.

A man had fallen about 40 feet down the steep bank of the creek. Fortunately he stopped just short of the fast flowing water.

Eng. 29 set up a low angle rope system and Truck 7 took their Stokes stretcher down to the victim who did not appear to

have serious injuries.
