  Apartment Fire in Portland 6-15-2015
Posted by: Guest - 06-16-2015, 01:02 PM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (9)

At 1501 a box was transmitted for an apartment fire at 14021 SE Stark St.

Response was E7, 30,31,19, T2, T25 R7, C3, C2.

Truck 7, normally first due, was rescuing a 91 year old woman who had fallen down a narrow stairway.

I arrived right behind Rescue 7 and found a 2-story apartment building with

a porch on fire and fire extending into the apartment and the attic.

An 1-3/4 line from Engine 7 quickly knocked down the fire on the porch while another line was extended into the apartment.

My subscription is expiring in a few months.  How do I renew it?  I looked in my subscriptions area and there was no place to renew.  Please advise on how I can renew.

Thanks

EAST PT GEORGIA - 1949 CHEVY PUMPER
Posted by: GA FIREMAN - 06-13-2015, 04:43 PM - Forum: Photo Requests-NO IMAGES IN THIS FORUM! - No Replies

Looking for images of X-East Point, GA 1949 Chevrolet pumper.  It was later sold to the City Of Peachtree City, GA in 1966 when they organized their FD.  Our department still has the rig.  I am trying to find a good foto of it in service with EPFD.  All they have is a long shot of it in front of station one with several other rigs.  Working on a history of the PCFD for our 50th anniversary next year.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  New Boston Firehouses Coming Soon!
Posted by: SOlsonBFDL14 - 06-12-2015, 09:58 PM - Forum: Department Scuttlebut - Replies (14)

Our Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget (Starting July 1) provides funding for the following items:

Brand new Engine 17/Ladder 7/District 7 Firehouse: To be built next door to the current house, closer to Winter St. Current house to be demolished upon completion.

Brand New Engine 42/Rescue 2/District 9 Firehouse: Current firehouse to be razed, companies to be relocated during construction (Rumor is R2 to E52/L29, D9 to E39/L26 & E42 to stay on site in a trailer).

Extensive (Multimillion Dollar) renovations to Engine 50 & Engine 33/Ladder 15.

Hopefully this is only the beginning! Last new firehouse built by the City was E28/TL10 in 1984 (Both E10/TL3/R1/Div 1 & MU1 were built by developers in exchange for the land on which they sit)
