I haven't been able to find a thread covering the Dakotas so I might as well start one.  I don't have much to contribute, but here are a few of the dreaded inside shots from De Smet, SD.

  rescues with pump capability
Posted by: BFD190 - 08-15-2014, 11:29 AM - Forum: Photo Requests-NO IMAGES IN THIS FORUM! - Replies (9)

Hello all . Interested to see photos of rescues with pump capabilities. There was the hybrid like move that created what is commonly referred to as rescue pumpers. But as time has moved on these rigs don't seem to have the necessary storage that even a single tandem rescue could provide. But many depts. Including my own need that piece to be able to pump due to they're first districts fire load. I feel that this may be something we will see more of . Not to much out there . Any help would be appreciated . Thanks.

  13-second knockdown in Portland 8-5-2014
Posted by: Guest - 08-14-2014, 02:43 PM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (4)

Shortly after 08:00 Portland transmitted a box for a mobile home on fire at 12726 SE Division St.

Station 7 arrived about 3 minutes later and reported a mobile home fully involved.

Since the fire was on Division St., one of the busiest in Portland, and the fire was just beyond a sidewalk and driveway, we wonder

how it could have become so well involved before someone called.

Eng. 7 has just charged the first line.

  Tablet suggestions?
Posted by: wvguy38 - 08-12-2014, 06:22 PM - Forum: Fire Service Related - Replies (3)

Looking into putting tablets out in some of our apparatus. Looking for suggestions from folks who may be using them now. We're looking at mainly using them for addressing/mapping, our EMS reports and also some fire reporting info.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  Littleton, CO 3rd Alarm & Mayday 8-11-14
Posted by: Guest - 08-11-2014, 09:48 PM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (24)

This morning Littleton Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 5535 South Lowell Blvd.  Companies reported black smoke in the air from across the city.  Initial companies found a middle row, two story unit well involved with fire.  The building is off-set from the street over 100 feet and required an extended 2 1/2" lay gated down to 1 3/4" attack lines.  A second alarm was quickly called and crews began an offensive attack.  An Alpha and Charlie Division were established and fire was traveling laterally through the attic.  Englewood Engine 21 was operating on the second floor of the fire unit when conditions deteriorated and ceiling / attic collapsed.  They transmitted a mayday and the designated RIT company made entry.  The crew safely exited the building with all members accounted for and no injuries.  Due to the structure failing a defensive strategy was declared in the fire unit and offensive strategy in the exposure units.

I arrived late in the game but still caught some decent photos.  First up and not seen around these parts... South Metro Engine 38 beached the back lawn...

Catskill Fire Cats 2014 Fire Truck Show
Posted by: TacSupport1 - 08-09-2014, 10:57 PM - Forum: Apparatus Photos - Replies (9)

Photo taken at today's Catskill Fire Cats Fire Truck Show in Goshen (Orange County), NY. A great variety of unique apparatus and a very positive buff and public turnout at today's event. Here are some of my shots, and I'm sure several people from here took some photos today as well. I'll try and post some more tomorrow.

  Portland 3rd Alarm 8-8-14
Posted by: Guest - 08-09-2014, 10:04 AM - Forum: Fire Scene Photos - Replies (3)

At 06:01 Portland companies were dispatched to a fire alarm at 205 SE Grand Ave. At 06:02 it was upgraded to a box assignment. Arriving companies reported smoke showing from the 2nd floor and fire showing from the cellar. Subsequent 2nd and 3rd alarms were transmitted. The fire was in the walls of an older 3-story building, so it was a long, tough job and not much to see.
