Apparently, there will be a Mexico-based fire truck manufacturer displaying this year. I've never heard of them until seeing the ad in Fire Engineering this evening.

FDNY Firefighter Dies After Fall From Bucket
Posted by: TacSupport1 - 04-20-2017, 04:51 PM - Forum: Department Scuttlebut - No Replies

Quote:All,
A Firefighter from Ladder 135 fell from the roof of a multi-family home in Queens while battling two-alarm fire earlier this afternoon. The NY Daily News is reporting this to be an LODD.
The FDNY says the fire broke out in a multi-family dwelling on Putnam Avenue in Ridgewood on Thursday afternoon. Reports are that the Firefighter was gravely injured after attempting to get into a tower ladder bucket from the roof and then falling 5 stories. We will have much more. Prayers to everyone involved.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass it On.

Saw a E\-One 95' MM TL with pump and hose bed driving around the neighborhood today. It's definitely not local. Searching this forum and Google had no results. Anyone know where its out of?

Pierce Introduces A Kneeling Fire Engine
Posted by: TacSupport1 - 04-07-2017, 08:11 PM - Forum: Manufacturer Scuttlebut - Replies (3)

I'm not sure I like this idea. For transit buses, and select ambulances, it makes sense. But for a fire engine? I can't see it really making a difference, and it must be expensive to purchase and maintain.
