I have the following extra used Old WNYF With New York Firefighters id like to sell. Most are in great shape some have the name of the FDNY ff who's it was on the cover. Payment would be via Paypal. Id like to get $3.00 each for them. Shipping will have to be added and will be what ever the postage is. I will sell 1 Issue or all of them. If you want all of them it would be $105.00 at $3.00 each but id let them go for $80.00 plus shipping. I've been told to reduce my collection by the house boss and selling my extras is the first start. Id like to sell them here because eBay's fees have gotten out of hand. These are great to read. Please email me at swfdpt3@yahoo.com

It has been unseasonably warm and windy in the Denver area and a Red Flag Warning was issued on Thursday. At 18:00 an employee of the IKEA store in Centennial called 911 and reported wind damage to their 110 foot tall sign that might cause a fall hazard. Battalion Chief 34 was first to arrive and reported two 4'x10" panels of sheet metal loose and moving with wind gusts.
Regional Transportation District light rail train lines run adjacent to the sign and Interstate 25 runs just to the side of those tracks. A unified command was established with Arapahoe Sheriff, State Patrol, RTD & CDOT and all train lines and lanes of traffic were shut down in the middle of rush hour.
Call came in at 9:35, units arrived to find heavy fire and smoke, all the occupants of the home had gotten out. Cause of the fire was paper towll catching fir in the kitchen
I've always been interested to learn more about the volunteer fire companies located within the limits of New York City. It looked like some others might also have had some questions. I decided to post this thread here to save the thread on Rockaway Point's new ladder unit for just photos.
1. How are the vollie houses dispatched? Do they carry tone pagers and do they respond and operate on the same frequency as the FDNY units?
2. Are there training requirements that volunteer members must obtain to be able to ride to calls?
3. Are the volunteer company members permitted to do all the same firefighting activities that FDNY members perform?
4. Is there an association or some other governing body that decides things like equipment standards, unit designations for all the vollie houses in the city?
5. Is there a map that shows each vollie house's first due area?
6. Are they listed on the run card to be sent to greater alarm fires in adjoining neighborhoods (where they are not first due)
If I think of some additional questions, I'll post them.
The Wilmington Fire Department has placed into service a 2016 Pierce Arrow XT 100' TDA, identified as Ladder 2. Members were out doing some training on Super Bowl Sunday. Not the greatest weather day for pictures, but that season is still a few months away. For some reason the front left of the truck is being cut off on the web page view, if you click on the picture it will open the full picture.
Shortly before 4am on February 8th, Saint John Firefighters were called to St. James St on the city's West side for a structure fire with people trapped. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and fire conditions from the rear of the building. Upon striking a 3rd alarm, crews were pulled from the building due to possible structural collapse and deteriorating conditions on the 2nd level. Units assigned on the initial alarm were Engine 6, Engine 1, Engine 8, Quint 5, Fire 3. 2nd alarm companies included Rescue 4, Fire 2, Fire 1, 3rd alarm brought in Engine 7, and Tank 8 was requested to bring Unit 87 (air supply unit). One person was pulled from the building, crews were unable to initially find the victim in the rear due to the building being renovated into different apartments.
