Here's Fireboat 1 "Thomas D'Alesandro, doing a Water Display for the New Boat.
Here's some of the New Boat doing her 1st Water Display in the Baltimore Harbor.
A few more of the new boat with the older boats in the background.
Some more shots of the New Boat. No word on when this Boat will go in Service, as a lot of training will be needed before hand.
Last shot of the New Boat in her New Home the Docks of Engine Co. 39 at Fort McHenery.
Very Nice!!! Great photos. Let's hope that she will never have to go into service!!

For those in the know, curious to know if 1) is this boat staffed with a dedicated crew each shift and 2) how many does it take to run the boat.
Huck, yes the Boat is staffed with a full time crew 365 days a year, The current Fireboats has a crew of 5, I don't know if that is what the New boat will have or not.

Not something you get to see very often, a new fire boat. I noticed it's still flying the Canadian flag.
The Baltimore City FD, took delivery yesterday of there new 6 Million Dollar State of the Art Fire Boat. The Boat was built by Hike Metal Products in Ontario Canada, and I'm told it took the crew 7-8 days to sail her down to Baltimore. I believe that these are the Specs for the New Boat. 86' Long, with a top speed of 16 knts. it has a capabilitie of flowing 12.500 gpms through 4 monitor pipes. Here she is the "John R. Frazier"
Very nice pics. I like the Stars & Strips flying with the Mapleleaf in front of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.

Do you know what route they took from Onatario to Maryland? I was just wondering if this craft was able to use the canal through New York State or if they had to go via the St Lawrence River and the Atlantic shoreline.

Thanks.
Nice boat, looks like they put alot of effort into designing this.
Richard, I'm not sure what route they took, But I do know that they had to stop in either NY or NJ, to weld the top back on the Boat, there was a bridge somewhere along the route, that it wouldn't fit under. Hope this helps, and thanks for the compliments.
Bus,

What time did she arrive at the Key Bridge? Was scheduled to arrive on friday.

Here's a link to the route that was taken and times at different locations.

I'm surprised with a nice, shiney new boat that they didn't do a better job of lettering the side with the BCFD wording. It is very hard to see and with some of the photos of it in the distance, you can't even see it. They should be proud to show it off and advertise!
pfd1, she came in around 6 P.M., I was told that she wasn't do in till later this week, than I got a call about 4:30 from a friend of mine in AACO, who told me it was coming in on Sat. I arrived at Ft. McHenery around 5 or so, and "The Buzzard" was the only other photgrapher I saw there.
Impressive boat! Thanks for the link to the fireboat website as well....interesting stuff.
Any word on whats going to happen with the old Boat 1? Great shots BTW
