Nice job Sam! Sure is crazy seeing every firstline number on an International medic now. Will have to start getting used to that.

Sam, swing by 52. I painted the wheels black. It looks pretty tough.
Who's building the boxes on the Internationals? Those look really nice.

definitely Horton. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />) I wish Horton would just sweep the country. hahaha. can't you tell I'm a Horton fan? I was crushed when Lex fire moved away to Braun and now Excellance. The Baltimore boxes look good, but clear LEDs, and maybe a lightbar in the rear (in addition to the existing lights) would be even better.

Well if Horton were to sweep the country, then Allied Specialty Vehicles (they own the E\-One, AEV, Wheeled Coach, Road Rescue and Horton brands) will be a very happy company indeed.
Thanks guys, I thought they looked like Horton, but I wasn't 100% sure... I had no idea ASV owned Horton, I thought they "owned themselves" but I know, a lot of that behind the scenes stuff goes on with companies, I just had no idea.

There are very few independently owned ambulance manufacturers in operation. One example is PL Custom/Rescue 1 which remains under 100% family owned and controlled business.

I had no clue. I've always liked the way the Horton boxes look, and it's what I kind of grew up seeing. ...interesting information - thank you!

I would have to agree with you on the light set-up you like. I Love rear lightbars on the box along with clear LED's.

Wasn't Horton owned by Pierce Years ago?? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ambulance.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Ambulance' />

Not that I was ever aware of. Pierce at one time in the early to mid 1980's did construct the raw aluminum body module for Horton. Somewhere in my mess of negatives I have several shots of Horton boxes lined up outside the "41 Plant" in Appleton ready for shipment.
Just to let everyone know, there will be a BCFD "Fire Apparatus Photo Shoot" on Sat July 23rd at @ 3 PM at The 414 Fire Museum on Gay Street. If you was there the last time, you know its a good time, and a great spot for Posed BCFD Fire Apparatus.

Me and a friend are attending this, what king of turnout from bcfd is there??
However much we can get moved there, amongst all the usual calls and such. The quicker the rigs get photographed, the quicker they leave and a new 1 shows up.

Guest

Assiit Chief Heibuch typically will call and ask what we want. Pm hungrybus or bfd photo guy and ask they are running it.

Is the shoot still going on even if it's 100 degrees like they keep saying?
