That is correct, this is the station where Truck 12 is located which had the firefighter die in the LODD recently.

FYI RRU12 (and all the RRUs) is no longer in service. Medic-12 is now in service at E12, and Medic-2 replaced RRU2 at E2.

Good list -- minor corrections:

S-371 in reserve, but failed ladder test (ResQguy post #617); uncertain future

S-379 off the inventory - gone

S-386 assigned to Training Academy
As the Taco Bell commercial goes, "I'm Full!!!" I think I'm finished. I centainly hate to see this thread leave the top of the page. Maybe someone will post some additional photos.

John, we thought about you when we flew by! Did not know I was coming until late Friday night. A last minute thing, and it did not work. I should have made arrangements. The only thing I got was E101 and the MCSU. Did not want to start a thread just for that! Maybe next time.

Steve Skaar's St. Louis thread is inspiring. It encourages us to continue this thread where it left off with the truck chronology in 1989. After a ten year run of purchasing rearmounted ladder trucks, the DCFD returned to tillered apparatus in 1993 with the purchase of two Simon-Duplex/ LTI 100’ tractor drawn apparatus.

In 1993 Truck Companies 11 and 13 each received a Simon-Duplex/ LTI 100’ tractor drawn apparatus. Powered by the Detroit 60 Series diesel, they had prepiped bed-section waterways to the 40’ level. As with the rearmounts, the configuration of high side compartments meant all ladders had to come from the rear trays. 1995 photo shows T-11 in back of quarters.

T-11 on the fireground in E-14’s area – c.1995: It must have been a busy day for Rescue Squad-3 to be due on the Box in Fort Totten. That's about as far as they can go without stopping for gas and directions.

The two LTIs were rebuilt and re-tractored by American LaFrance in 2003. They are in service today with Trucks 8 and 12. July 5, 2007 photo of Truck 12 (S-382, xT11) in the 1800 block of Tulip St. NW

And for you detail nuts, this is the apparatus that Code-3 replicated in 1/64 scale.
Great shots of the LTI tillers. Had no idea DC had 2 of them.

Yes. S-379, an E\-One RM 110', went to T-03 in 1987, was wrecked in 1996, subsequently rebuilt and assigned to T-08 in 1998, and retired in 2003.
I always thought the "Stars and Bars" paint scheme and the Baltimore Burnt Orange paint scheme was unique. Does anyone know why DC and Balitmore changed back to the White over Red?
