The Ward LaFrance delivery list I have shows a cab-forward Model 82 custom pumper was delivered to Washington, DC in 1967, Spec Number 82-09. I've searched this entire thread, but find nothing that fits. Can anyone add info or a photo, or know of this rig, either in Washington or an FD nearby?

I wondered about that same rig Dave when I was posting Duane's photos of DC. When Duane Troxel shot the entire DC Department in 1973 he did not get a photo of it and did not even note it in his notebook of DC apparatus. I wonder if it could have been a Military rig of some kind?

Was it Hyattsville's 1st one? Tom Shand has noted that he did not have a serial for this rig..., and by 73, it was in Marion,PA. This is just 1 more time I wish we still had Jack Gerhart with us, he would have known this, having been a member of HVFD at that time!
This very well could be Hyattsville's 1967 Ward LaFrance as their two other units had higher serial numbers. The DCFD to my knowledge never operated a model 82 WLF wagon. From the other PGFD rosters that I have from that era other than Beltsville at Company 31, no one else operated a 1967 vintage WLF wagon. I hope that this helps out and if anyone can confirm the serial number of this unit please do.

Ok, do you all recall me telling you about a construction worker who didn't want me taking pics at the tech rescue. Well here he is and let me tell you, I told him off right good. Told him if he got a DC cop to tell me to stop shooting then fine other wise suck it up.

BTW Mr. Construction worker, if you don't like your pic its a Matt Lannon shot.
